Fly Tipping Incidents More Frequent

In the same 12 months, that 33,000 householders were handed on-the-spot penalties the number of fly-tipping incidents rose by 12%. Fly tipping is getting worse but the fines are being given to the 'easy targets' while the real problems are to some extent being ignored. The impact of changes to rubbish collection may not always be as expected, www.binbugs.com/impact.htm.

Households Fined by Bin Police

With people being fined for having left there wheelie bins open and peoples rubbish disposal habits being observed by officials how can we the easy targets accept that the bin bugs will not become part of a new hi-tech surveillance network for gathering data and money for the local council or central government? Have a look at www.binbugs.com for more information about the use of RFID tags in our wheelie bins.

Bin Bugs are Rubbish Idea

The Sun is reporting that...
"COUNCILS have hidden microchips in wheelie bins to check how much people throw away instead of recycling. It is feared the bugged bins – in Peterborough, South Norfolk, Wiltshire, Cheshire and Surrey – will lead to fines for those who fail to recycle their waste. "

Bin Bugs

People round the country have reacted in different ways to the electronic tagging and in some areas the tags have been removed and sent back to council offices. We can see from this reaction that feelings are running high, but what do you think, have your say here.
